Harry Butler Environmental Award sets new benchmark

On Monday 23rd July, Chevron Australia presented Pendoley Environmental with a Harry Butler Environmental Award for 'continued work in innovative technical services’.

The award recognises the dedication of Dr Paul Whittock and his team who saw the development and application of a novel technology for remote data capture from trial through to successful execution.

Described as setting a 'new environmental benchmark', the technology used an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)  to capture marine turtle and coastal monitoring data for Chevron's Gorgon and Wheatstone Projects.

The information has supported a greater understanding of how marine turtle nesting behaviour is influenced by changes to the nesting beach environment.

Pendoley Environmental have expanded their remote monitoring capability. For a free consultation to discuss whether UAV monitoring will provide you with the answers you need, talk to Paul on 08 9330 6200 or send him an email.
